One note when Kensei ships. The occasional essay. No tracking pixels. No drip schedule. No pitches. The list is kept by hand — deliberately small.

This site is set, composed, and pressed by hand. The system is loud, disciplined, and committed. What follows is the standing record of its materials.
Display set in Akzidenz-Grotesk Pro Bold Extended. Where the licence is not present, the system falls back through Public Sans, Helvetica Neue, and the system grotesque.
Reading copy set in Tiempos Text. Where unavailable, Source Serif 4. Body column 540–620 pixels, set left of centre.
Plate numbers, dates, and metadata set in IBM Plex Mono.
Bone for paper. Lamp black for ink. Signal red for the diagonal, section marker, and printer's wedge. Lissitzky blue for the rule kept.
No fifth colour. No gradient. No shadow. No glass.
The anti-patterns of the moment, refused in the order their frequency embarrasses us:
The visual idiom borrows openly: Tschichold for the asymmetric grid, Rodchenko and Lissitzky for the diagonal axis, and Bayer for the heavy industrial sans.
The philosophical lineage is older: Greek askesis, monastic regula, German Bildung, Japanese shugyo, and Sloterdijk's umbrella term.
Composed in Berlin, anno mmxxvi. Written, designed, set, and pressed by the same hand. The site is the rule's public form.
Comments and corrections are answered. The rule is revised on the first Sunday of each month.
